To welcome in the New Year, Barnsley House have once again joined forces with Maison Louis Jadot ....

They will feature a selection of distinctive M√Ęconnais and Cru Beaujolais wines from the illustrious Domaine Ferret and Ch√Ęteau des Jacques Estates which reflect their individual 'terroirs'

These wines will be available by the bottle, glass, or carafe, alongside the restaurant's lunchtime menu from 4th February 2013 through to the end of March 2013.

This is an incredible opportunity to enjoy fine Burgundy wines with a unique story for the price of the regular house wines. Wines available in the promotion are:

White
Louis Jadot 'Clos de Loyse' Château des Jacques 2009
Unusually, a single estate Chardonnay from the Beaujolais, with a rich toasty, creamy nose and smooth palate. Balanced with great elegance.
Domaine Ferret Pouilly Fuissé Autour de Fuissé 2010
A wine showing great balance between weight and freshness, with elegance derived from seamless minerality. Layers of subtle notes combine stone fruits, acacia flowers and spiced hazelnut butter.
Domaine Ferret Pouilly Fuissé Sous Vergisson 2009
A greener, leaner, more tense style of Pouilly Fuissé. Supremely elegant.

Red
Louis Jadot Moulin à Vent, Château des Jacques 2009
A very different style of Beaujolais Cru which shows the potential of really well made Cru Beaujolais.
Louis Jadot Moulin à Vent Clos du Grand Carquelin, Château des Jacques 2005
Superb example of just how good the Gamay grape can be. Plenty of extract and depth on the nose which is rich in violets. Impressive palate with wonderful fresh tannins.
Louis Jadot Moulin à Vent Clos de Rochegrés, Château des Jacques 2010
This vineyard produces wines with great intensity and weight, smooth and round with supple tannins and a long finish.
