Professional photographer Tim Clinch has been declared the first ever Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year at the Pink Lady¨ Food Photographer of the Year 2013 awards reception.
Jonathan Stevens, Errazuriz Regional Director, was delighted to present Tim with the £1000 prize at the Mall Galleries in London. Tim's winning photograph 'Wines Maturing in the Cellars at Dogobo Winery, Tokaj, Hungary' (above) has also earned him a year's supply of Errazuriz wine.
The judging panel of the new Errazuriz Wine Photographer category were seeking shots of all things vinous, divided into three sub-categories: Produce, People, Places.
The popular wine-only category received entries from 22 countries, and runners up were Stephane Bahic from France and Andrew Barrow from the UK, in the People and Places sub-categories respectively. Tim Clinch's entry topped the Produce sub-category in the first round of judging.
More than 350 guests and finalists travelled from around the world to the awards evening compered by chairman of the judges, journalist and food critic, Jay Rayner.
Amateur photographer Alexandrina Paduretu from Romania took the top prize of £5000 and the title of Pink Lady¨ Food Photographer of the Year 2013 for her entry 'Tasty Apple', which originally won the An Apple a Day category.
Pink Lady¨ Food Photographer of the Year is an international celebration of the art of food photography.
