Grant Burge's Krondorf Estate Winery and Vines narrowly escape a raging bush fire thanks to the Fire Service and brave Barossa locals

A huge bushfire continues to burn in the Barossa Valley close to Grant Burge's Krondorf Winery in Tanunda, but thanks to the many brave firemen and Barossa locals who worked hard last night to get it under control, the Grant Burge Winery, vines, cellar door and their own home have not been affected. The Grant Burge Cellar door at Krondorf is open as usual today despite the scenes below that were shot in recent hours, with several images taken by Grant's son Trent Burge.

Grant Burge comments: "Our sincere thanks goes out to all SA Country Fire Service crew members and the many Barossa locals who worked hard last night to quell a bushfire on our grazing land at Krondorf. We are very lucky that our homes, winery, cellar door and vineyards were not affected."
