New Coteaux Bourguignons Additions to Louis Jadot Range

Burgundy producer, Maison Louis Jadot, has expanded its range with the addition of the company’s first two new Coteaux Bourguignons wines following the launch of the appellation in January 2012.  Louis Jadot Coteaux Bourguignons Chardonnay / Aligoté 2012 and Louis Jadot Coteaux Bourguignons Gamay / Pinot Noir 2013 are targeted at the UK Off and On-Trade with RRP £12.99.

Lynn Murray, UK Marketing Director, Hatch Mansfield – UK sole agents for Louis Jadot, comments, ‘These are very exciting additions to the Louis Jadot range.  As the appellation covers the entire Burgundy region, it allows for greater freedom and creativity in terms of blending, and is a great quality entry level wine for consumers.’

Winemaker Frederic Barnier made these wines to a fresh, clean and juicy fruit driven style, complemented with the elegance you would expect from the region.  The white Coteaux Bourguignons is made from 70% Chardonnay grapes and 30% Aligoté grapes and the red Coteaux Bourguignons is a blend of 70% Gamay and 30% Pinot Noir grapes. Fruit for both wines is sourced from the Côte d’Or, Châlon, Mâcon and Beaujolais areas.

Presented with a contemporary new Bacchus design on the bottle, both wines will also be available in screw cap from the 2013 vintage.

Louis Jadot wines are available through Hatch Mansfield, tel. 01344 871 800 and will also be shown on stand Q50 at the London Wine Fair.

Louis Jadot was founded in Beaune by Louis-Henry Jadot in 1859, and celebrates over 150 years of fine winemaking.  Today Louis Jadot produces wines from over 150 appellations – from Beaujolais Villages to Le Montrachet.
