British Academy Cymru Awards

The British Academy Cymru Awards took place on Sunday 26th October 2014. These awards celebrate and reward the highest achievements in Welsh film and television.

Champagne Taittinger proudly sponsored one of the awards, Director Fiction, which was won by  Y Gwyll / Hinterland - Marc Evans, Fiction Factory co-production with S4C, Tinopolis and All3Media International for S4C, BBC Wales and BBC Four

The best Television Drama sponsored by Just Perfect Catering went to Sherlock, Hartswood Films for BBC One

Best Actor sponsored by Audi  - Tom Riley as Leonardo da Vinci in Da Vinci's Demons, STARZ and BBC Worldwide Productions for FOX TV

Best Actress sponsored by Pinewood Studios - Rhian Blythe as Grug Matthews in Gwaith/Catref, Fiction Factory for S4C

The BAFTA Special Achievement Award for outstanding contribution to television went to Nerys Hughes.

Champagne Taittinger, official Champagne Partner to the British Academy added extra sparkle to the proceedings with guests being served Taittinger Brut Réserve NV from Magnums. 

Taittinger also donated a Jeroboam of Brut Réserve NV which was signed by BAFTA winners.,  It  will be auctioned by BAFTA in the future as part of fund raising activity.
