Having graduated from Exeter University Ben started his wine trade career by helping organise the International Wine Challenge. After a stint at Berkmann Wine Cellars he spent four years at Lea and Sandeman selling mainly to private clients as well as gaining useful on-trade experience. Two and a half successful years of selling wine into the London on-trade for Fuller's came to an end in September 2002 when Ben joined Hatch Mansfield. His remit is to increase on-trade sales both by looking after key wholesalers in London and the South-East and dealing with on-trade National Accounts. His role combines working with Matthew Clark South East and National Account business units as well as overseeing the Hatch Mansfield On Trade and Independent Off Trade sales teams outside of London.
