Intense aromas of red mature fruits such as cherry and redcurrant, menthol, minerality and balsamic notes. On the palate is a dense texture of sweet and unctuous soft tannins, red fruit and integrated oak.
Manual harvest from Pajera, Central and Lentisco plots with vines ranging from 30 to 70 years old.
The 2015 vintage was characterised by good distribution of rainfall throughout the growing season. Budburst was on 2nd July and veraison began on the 12th July.
Alcoholic fermentation took 8 days in 100hl French oak vats, followed by 7 days maceration. Malolactic fermentation took place in second use, 300, 400 and 500l barrels for almost 2 years.
