Jean-Luc Colombo Wines

The Colombo family - Jean-Luc, his wife Anne and daughter Laure, all actively involved in the business

Jean-Luc Colombo is a relatively young company by French wine standards. My wife Anne and I moved to Cornas in the heart of the Rhône Valley in 1982. First, we set up an oenology lab and I began working as a winemaking consultant in the region. Four years later, we bought our first vineyard ‘Les Ruchets’ and celebrated the first vintage in 1987. The business went from strength-to-strength which allowed us to invest in more vineyards and a house on the Cornas hillside, whilst working as a regional négociant. Today, as well as owning vineyards in Cornas, Saint-Péray and the surrounding area, we are investing in a vineyard and winery development in the stunning ‘Blue Coast’ area and have our own winery, offices, bottling line and oenology laboratory in the centre of Cornas
