Richard Painter, Winemaker walks down a row of vines with his constant companion dog - Sam

With an elegant, rustic interior set against a backdrop of beautiful vineyards, the winery and cellar door allow guests to experience the beauty of being amongst vines.

An old windmill nestles amid the vines that surround the winery.  The influence of this famous local landmark can be seen echoing through the creatures and contraptions that feature on the Leftfield labels.

Winemaking focuses on gentle handling of fruit, minimal movements of wine and slow maturation in a cool cellar environment.  Many fruit parcels are hand-picked and pressed directly to barrel and tank for the whites and de-stemmed to open fermenters for reds.  Most fermentations are natural and malolactic fermentation happens in barrel.
