Definitive Grenache on the nose, lifted boiled lollies, candied sweet aromas, lots of lovely tartness on the palate of pomegranate and cherry. A hint of sugar to complement the fresh acidity.
Grapes for this wine are sourced from Chris Hancock vineyards in McLaren Vale near the village. Planted on south-east facing slopes, protected from strong winds, farming using sustainable vinegrowing techniques.
The 2017 vintage was excellent with good yield of above average quality.
Clean ferment using Rhone yeasts to help promote savoury characters in the wine. Following the fermentation the wine was fined, filtered and bottled.
