Frédéric was born in Beaujolais and spent his childhood surrounded by vineyards. He studied oenology at the University of Burgundy in Dijon, graduating in 1988. He became the Technical Director overseeing all the Beaujolais and Mâconnais domaines in 2019. This role offers Frédéric the opportunity to work with the beautiful and fine expressions of Gamay and Chardonnay, rounded and aromatic grapes that provide immediate pleasure while retaining complexity.

An agricultural engineer specialised in viticulture and oenology, and a graduate of ESA in Angers, Théophane has had the opportunity to work in several wine regions across France, Spain, and South Africa. Théophane has been selecting

and vinifying the wines of the Terroir Collection since the 2024 vintage. Gamay Noir, grown on the rich and diverse terroirs of Beaujolais, is a constant source of inspiration for him.
