Back on the red carpet

The BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises were held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 14th May. The Awards are the biggest celebration of excellence across British and international television production and broadcasting and was attended by stars of TV such as Cillian Murphy and , Russell Tovey.

Nominees and guests arrived to the red carpet and were then welcomed to the Champagne Taittinger reception to enjoy a glass of Taittinger Brut Réserve before settling down in the theatre to enjoy the show to find out this year’s winners. This year’s Leading Actor was Ben Wishaw, the Leading Actress was Kate Winslet and the winner of Best Drama Series was Bad Sisters.

This year’s Awards were hosted by Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan, with Lewis Capaldi and Jax Jones performing as the musical guests. After the Awards ceremony, guests enjoyed the following dinner menu, perfectly paired with Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc 2022 and Pinot Noir 2021.

STARTER – Slade Farm Asparagus and Spring Shoot Salad with Jersey Royal Potato Terrine, Truffle emulsion and Sourdough

MAIN – Roast Chicken Breast, Chicken Lollipop, Parmesan Truffle Chip, Tenderstem Broccoli, Carrot Puree, Tarragon Jus

VEGAN MAIN – Feta and spinach stuffed globe artichoke, herby sun blushed tomato quinoa, white bean purée, Truffle Chip, Pangrattato

DESSERT – Bite-size selection: Treacle Cherry, Lavender and Bergamot Choux, Chocolate Bafta Cremeux

In a time-honoured tradition for Taittinger’s twenty year partnership with BAFTA, celebrities backstage signed a special Methuselah of Champagne Taittinger Brut Réserve NV, which will be auctioned at a fundraising event.
