Bela Roble 2021 6x75cl

Ribera del Duero

High-intensity cherry-red cherry colour with purple notes in the border. Aromatic complexity where we find floral notes and red fruit such as currant, raspberry, etc. All this is softened and complemented by fine notes of sweet spices and the nuances of the wood from the barrel (vanilla, clove...).It is a wine of passage marked by a tasty tannin and with personality, the end of mouth takes us to a long and fruity aftertaste with a final minerality that confers elegance and finesse.

Vineyards

Bela is produced from hand harvested, carefully selected grapes from our own vineyards situated at more than 800m altitude in the village of Villalba de Duero. The soils are calcareous clay and sandy loam and the climate here is continental.

Vintage

The 2021 vintage was marked by abundant rainfall and somewhat cooler temperatures than in previous years, delaying the start of budding. Throughout the year, the rainfall decreased, giving us a dry summer until the start of the ripening process. Two weeks before the start of harvest, we had some rainfall, helping the grapes to reach perfect condition for harvesting. The harvest took place from the 1st to 25th of October.

Winemaking

The wine making process is traditional, with pre-fermentation cold maceration in stainless steel tanks, and, following fermentation, six months ageing in American and French, new and one-year old oak barrels.
