Shiraz Reserva 2023 6x75cl
A ruby red colour with violet hues. An intense expression on the nose; opening with fruity notes such as blackberries, pomegranate and blueberries accompanied by floral aromas that remind us of lavender and acacia. It is fresh and very juicy on the palate, with soft tannins.
Vineyards
Viña Caliterra soil consists of clayey profile colluvial and stoney colluvial.
Vintage
Despite less rainfall, soil moisture reached capacity, supporting strong growth. The season was slightly warmer with normal budburst and good fruitset; although a spring frost affected some of the lower vineyards. A December wildfire damaged woodland but had limited vineyard impact. Ripening accelerated in March, then slowed, leading to a slightly early harvest.
Winemaking
Fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks using selected dry yeast. 70% barrel aged for 6 months in barrel of second and third use.
