Vintage

The 2013 vintage in the Great Southern region was a challenging one. Following mild winter, spring brought above average rainfall which resulted in a good crop set. Unfortunately, in late November a storm with hail affected flowering which resulted in small yields but on the other hand delivered great intensity to the resulting crop.

Winemaking

Following hand harvest, the grapes were sorted and fermented. After additional two weeks post-ferment maceration, the wine was matured for 7 months in French barriques.
