Paulo Mendes Da Rocha wins RIBA Gold

The RIBA Gold Medal was awarded to Paulo    Mendes Da Rocha, Brazil’s most celebrated living architect. The Gold Medal is the UK’s  highest   recognition for architects . This distinguished Prize celebrates his lifetime’s work, spanning six decades, and his influence on the world stage on the advancement in architecture. Presented at RIBA’s home in Portland Place on Wednesday 1st February, guests celebrated his remarkable achievements with a glass of Taittinger Brut Réserve from magnum. A bottle of Taittinger Collection Salgado was presented along with the Gold Medal to Paulo. A fitting tribute, this is Taittinger’s first Collection featuring a Brazilian artist, the hugely talented Sebastião Salgado.
