27th October 2017 – Villa Maria celebrated victory at the Marlborough Wine Show Award’s Dinner last night, winning four trophies as well as Champion Wine of the Show for the Villa Maria Single Vineyard Seddon Pinot Noir 2015.
Villa Maria’s Marlborough Winemaker Helen Morrison attended the celebration and accepted the array of awards. “It was an absolute pleasure to be awarded with four Champion varietal trophies and the coveted Champion Wine of the Show. Trophies were awarded to wines from both our Reserve and Single Vineyard ranges, showcasing the diversity and consistent quality within our portfolio”, said Morrison.
These accolades follow Villa Maria’s recent success at the New Zealand International Wine Show where the family owned wine company received four trophies including Champion Wine of the Show for its Reserve Marlborough Chardonnay 2016.
Villa Maria is New Zealand’s most awarded winery.
