Villa Maria’s hugely popular Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc 2018 has now arrived in the UK.
To celebrate the release of the fresh 2018 vintage of the UK’s No.1 Sauvignon Blanc*, Head Winemaker Nick Picone flew to the UK to host a launch event at Yurt Lush in Bristol – the first ever Villa Maria wine tasting to take place in a yurt!
Oscar Davis, Head Chef at Yurt Lush developed eight different gourmet bar snacks, ranging from the traditional to the outlandish, to accompany the wine. After much sipping, slurping, lip-smacking and some fierce debate, a vote was taken and the Manchego stuffed Padron peppers emerged as the clear winner to take the title of the ultimate gourmet bar snack match to Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc.
Manchego Stuffed Padron Peppers Recipe
- Padron peppers
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Cut the top off a Padron pepper, core it, stuff with Manchego
- Set them out on a baking tray. Drizzle with olive oil and season with
salt & pepper
- Bake at 210 degrees for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and
pepper is soft
