11th April – The nominees for the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards were announced this morning by Michaela Coel and Andrew Buchan. Historical drama, The Crown, leads the way to win a sought-after BAFTA award, which recognises excellence in television, with 5 nominations including Drama Series and Leading Actress for Claire Foy.
As official Champagne and Wine Partners to BAFTA and keen supporters of the arts, Champagne Taittinger and Villa Maria wines from New Zealand are thrilled to be helping the guests celebrate at the Award ceremony which takes place on Sunday 14th May at the Royal Fesitval Hall in London, and will be hosted for the first time by Sue Perkins.
Bespoke BAFTA labelled Magnums and bottles of Champagne Taittinger Brut Réserve NV will be served at the ceremony, and New Zealand’s most awarded winery for over 30 years, Villa Maria, will be serving their Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc 2016 and Private Bin Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 at the special post ceremony dinner and after-show party.
