Rose petal, lavender, and cherries on the nose with hints of crushed, dried herbs. The palate shows pure, juicy fruit and a velvety texture balanced by zippy acidity, and a spicy dry grip of tannins on the long finish.

Vintage

The 2022 season began with a strong winter and significant cold unit accumulation. Budding was delayed due to a cold front and heavy snowfall in late August, but this led to even greater growing and ripening later in the season. The increased water availability resulted in larger berries and a 5% crop yield increase compared to 2021, aligning with the average yield of the past decade. In the winery, it was a memorable vintage, with grapes ripening steadily and harvest timing being ideal, allowing for a smooth cellar operation.

Winemaking

Fermented in Italian clay amphorae with a further 12 months maturation.
