Environmental Responsibility

In 2009, Joseph Mellot was the first winery in the Central Loire to attain ISO 14001 environmental management certification.

In 2010, they were also awarded the ‘Agriculture Raisonnée’ (Integrated Agriculture) certification which shows a commitment to the environment above and beyond merely respecting regulations. They were also the first French business and vineyard to join the 10:10 climate change campaign in autumn 2009, committed to the voluntary reduction of greenhouse gases.

Joseph Mellot is working toward sustainable development and is committed to economically viable and environmentally friendly viticulture.
