Touraine Chenonceaux AOC is linked to the worldwide famous Château de Chenonceau.

Nature and a unique architectural prowess create an idyllic setting for this new appellation, established in 2011. It covers just over 110 hectares on the hillsides of both Cher river banks and in 27 villages of Indre-et-Loire and of Loir-et-Cher departments.

The soils are mainly made of limestone, flint & clay and siliceous stones, typical of the Loire Valley, called ‘perruches’ (parrots in French).
